We’ve been part of Chicago’s World Dumpling Fest since its early days at Millennium Park, and we’re back again this year — the festival’s sixth annual — now in its new Lincoln Park home.

What the festival is
World Dumpling Fest celebrates dumplings and cultural traditions from around the world, hosted by the Chicago Cultural Alliance as a fundraiser supporting over 40 cultural heritage centers across Chicagoland. It’s an all-ages event featuring food, music, and more than a dozen neighborhood restaurants sharing their own cultural take on the dumpling — everything from Nepali momo to Polish pierogi to Japanese gyoza.
Tickets — this is a ticketed event
Food and drinks at the festival are purchased with tickets, not cash directly, and admission is separate from food. A few options:
- $10 — general admission
- $50 — 50 food tickets ($1 each) + admission for one
- $100 VIP — 50 food tickets + admission + seating + upgraded bathrooms + 2 drink tickets
- Tickets are also available on-site at $1 each
